Tania Torres began her surrealist journey at just 11 years old, inspired by the worlds of Salvador Dalí. Fascinated by his ability to transform reality into something both unsettling and beautiful, she began studying his techniques through careful observation and experimentation. Her earliest studies explored anatomy, beginning with the structure of a horse’s foot before evolving into imaginative forms like dragon feet. As her practice grew, she turned toward the human figure, incorporating emotion, symbolism, and personal storytelling. What began as technical studies gradually developed into a surrealist language of her own, where the familiar meets the fantastical and every brushstroke carries a story.
